Sri.P.Nachimuthu Gounder founded ABT - "The Anamallais Bus Transport Limited", a passenger transport company on 28.8.1931 at Pollachi, in Tamilnadu. The company had grown with 150 buses in 110 routes around Coimbatore region. The company earned goodwill, reputation and trust from the people and "A B T" brand is built in the market as a strong brand. "A B T" is a trusted brand and is an asset to the Group. In 1972, Tamilnadu Government nationalized the buses.

Being a great visionary, Dr.N.Mahalingam, our Chairman, felt for diversification. Under his guidance, Sri A.V.Giri started "ABT PARCEL SERVICE" in 1964. Today, the company has about 500 own trucks carrying 1 crore articles weighing 2, 20,000 tons worth Rs.3,500 crores every year. We have a network of 500 agents, who are very reliable and trust-worthy. This division is providing employment to 2,000 people directly and 5,000 people indirectly.
